What Makes This Short Yoga Retreat Different?

This is not designed as an intensive yoga teacher training course.

It is a short residential wellness experience where the focus is on practice, relaxation and reconnecting with yourself.

Instead of filling every hour with activities, the retreat combines guided sessions with personal time.

You can participate in yoga in the morning, experience meditation and breathwork, enjoy sound healing, receive wellness treatments and spend the remaining time resting or exploring Rishikesh.

The result is a retreat that feels purposeful without becoming exhausting.

Why Himalayan Yoga Association?

Why Choose Himalayan Yoga Association for a Yoga Retreat in Rishikesh?

01

Learn and Practice Yoga in Rishikesh

Your retreat takes place in Rishikesh, a city internationally associated with yoga, meditation, ashrams and spiritual learning. Instead of experiencing yoga only inside a hotel or resort, you stay within an established yoga-school environment.

02

Experienced Yoga Teachers

Sessions are guided by teachers whose work includes Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, pranayama, meditation, anatomy, Yin Yoga, Reiki and other traditional and complementary disciplines.

03

Beginner-Friendly Approach

You are not expected to arrive with advanced flexibility, strong postures or previous meditation experience. Teachers guide according to the group and encourage safe, mindful participation.

04

Yoga Beyond Physical Postures

The retreat introduces more than asana. Pranayama, meditation, Reiki and sound practices help you experience additional dimensions of yoga and conscious living.

05

Accommodation on Campus

Staying where you practise removes the need to travel between a hotel and yoga studio every day. Wake up, prepare for morning practice and walk directly to your yoga space.

06

Vegetarian Meals

Meals are prepared for retreat participants as part of the residential experience, allowing you to focus more on practice and rest instead of arranging food throughout your stay.

07

Wellness Experiences Included

The combination of yoga, sound healing, Abhyanga massage and foot reflexology makes the retreat more varied than a standard yoga class package.

08

Time to Rest

Not every hour of the retreat is scheduled. Free periods give you time to sleep, journal, read, sit quietly, enjoy the campus or explore Rishikesh.

Three Intentional Days

What Can You Expect to Take Away From Three Days?

Three days will not magically change every part of your life, and we do not believe a retreat needs exaggerated promises to be meaningful.

What three intentional days can give you is space.

Sometimes that is exactly what is needed.
Step outside your normal routine
Move your body consciously
Pay attention to your breath
Experience guided meditation
Rest without constantly checking your schedule
Discover practices you may want to continue at home
Experience yoga in Rishikesh
Spend time around people who have also chosen to pause
Solo Travel

A Short Retreat for Solo Travellers

Travelling alone to a yoga retreat is common.

You do not need to arrive with a friend or partner to participate.

A residential retreat provides an organized environment in which your room, meals and scheduled activities are already arranged. This can make a short stay in Rishikesh considerably easier for solo visitors.

You can interact with other participants when you wish while still having private time during your stay.

Travel Together

Couples & Friends Are Welcome

The retreat can also be enjoyed with a partner, friend or family member who is interested in yoga and wellness.

If you are travelling together, contact our team before booking so that suitable room arrangements can be discussed according to availability.

Short Retreat, Clear Purpose

Is Three Days Enough for a Yoga Retreat?

A 3-day retreat is best understood as a short reset and introduction, rather than an intensive transformation program.

A 3-day retreat may be right for you if:

You have limited holiday time
You are already travelling through North India
You want to experience Rishikesh before joining a longer retreat
You want a wellness weekend
You are new to retreats
You want a few structured days devoted to yourself
