How Many Students Are There in YTT?
We accept max. 25 to 30 students in each YTT.
Dress Code for Classes?
Comfortable yoga clothes that helps into the daily yoga practices.
Do I Need to Bring My Own Yoga Mat?
All the necessary items for our classes such as yoga mats and props are available in our school. We clean the items daily. You are also welcome to bring your own yoga mat / props if you prefer.
Can Pregnant Women Attend The Courses?
As our courses involves a lot of physical aspects and intense time schedule, we do not accept pregnant women to join our courses.
Do We Have Free Time?
You have some break time everyday as per the daily schedule. Also, we arrange 2 Sunday excursions per month. The excursions begin in the early morning and complete by the afternoon time, so you have your own time in the afternoon on these Sundays. Other Sundays are completely your free time where you can explore Rishikesh, or enjoy a relaxing time by our swimming pool / cafe / spa at HYA.
Am I Allowed to Skip Some Classes?
You are required to have 100% attendance, but under some circumstances such as any physical or mental issues, you can take a rest from classes by updating the management team prior to the class you need to skip.
I Have No Experience in Yoga. Can I Attend YTT?
Absolutely! Every professional was once a total beginner, and YTT with us is an ideal entry point into the world of yoga. We are committed to deliver yoga from the very root from many aspects. Previous experiences or knowledge are not necessary. What we need from you is an interest for yoga practices.
English is Not My First Language, Will It be an Issue?
No need to worry! We have students from all over the world, and English is their second language for most of them. The courses are taught in easily understandable English, and our teachers are very experienced in delivering knowledge and practice in a way that every student understand.
ACCOMMODATION & FOOD
Do I Need to Bring Towels, Toiletries, Beddings?
We provide bath towels, and beddings. Bed sheets are also changed to fresh ones weekly by our house keeping team. We do not provide toiletries, but we have them available in our Himalayan Organic Store next to the school campus, or you are also welcome to bring your own from your home.
Do You Have Washing Machines?
Yes, we have washing machines and hanging space in the common areas for our students to use freely. You can purchase washing detergent in our Himalayan Organic Store or any nearby shops, or you can bring your own.
Can I Stay In The Same Room With My Partner?
Yes, it is possible to attend the TTC with your partner.
Do You Serve Vegetarian Food?
Yes, the food provided at our school is 100% vegetarian.
Can I Bring In Food to the School?
Yes, as long as the food is vegetarian, you can bring food in. There is a fridge for our students to use freely in the dining area as well.
Is There Clean Drinking Water at the School?
Yes, we use high-tech water filter machines in the school. We have hot & cold water servers in the school for our students to drink. We recommend you to bring your water bottle or get one from our Himalayan Organic Store for your convenience.
Can I Use My Phone / Laptop at the School?
Yes, you are free to use your devices when you are not in your classes. We have a high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the campus.
Do You have A/C installed?
All our yoga shalas have hot & cold A/C, and we also have accommodation rooms with hot & cold A/C with a little extra fee. In the hot season, we also provide big coolers to each room. In the cold season, we provide a heater to each room as well.

How Can I Become a Certified Yoga Teacher?
To become a certified yoga teacher, you must successfully complete a yoga teacher training course, and show competence in your ability to teach.The Yoga Alliance is listing teacher training programs that meet their minimum standards - www.yogaalliance.org
Is Your School Registered with Yoga Alliance?

Are There Exams in Your YTT?
Yes, you are required to pass written and practical exams. The decision of your certification will be based on your performance, attendance, and behaviour as well.
Will I be Eligible to Teach as a Yoga Teacher in the World?
Yes, our YTT are accredited by Yoga Alliance. After your registration to Yoga Alliance, you’ll be able to teach as a Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher in the world.
TRAVEL TO SCHOOL
How Can I Reach Rishikesh from Delhi Airport?
From the Delhi airport to Rishikesh is about a 6-hour journey by road. We provide a car transportation service from the Delhi airport to our school campus in Rishikesh with the fee of 8000 INR.
How Can I Reach Rishikesh from Dehradun Airport?
From the Dehradun airport to our school campus is about 1-hour drive. We provide a car transportation service from the Delhi airport to our school campus in Rishikesh with the fee of 1500 INR.
HEALTH & SECURITY
I’m taking medications. I’ll be able to get it in India?
Yes, India hospitals has the same facilities as Western countries, might be not the same brand, but you’ll be able to get it here as well.
What if I get sick during my course?
If you are sick, injured or in need of medical assistance, we will provide you with medical care or take you to a western-style hospital (whichever option is needed). And in this case we will find alternatives for you in order to be able to finish the course.
Vaccinations?
Any particular vaccination is not required.
Do I have to be careful about eating food in India?
We have taken extra precautions by hiring a dedicated staff to prepare each and every meal at the school from fresh ingredients. Eating outside of school is pretty safe in the restaurants at Rishikesh. If your stomach is sensitive, you should beware of eating street foods.
General Question
Which kind of visa do I need to apply for?
Students should apply for tourist visa as it is easy and granted from indian embassy shortly, purpose of visit in india should be yoga retreat or ayurveda retreats. Students may give our school address as well as contact number as an indian reference. Contact details of Indian embassy in your country can be found. In general, visa expiry date is counted from the day visa is issued. Please verify it with the concerned embassy. Try to apply for your visa at least 2 or 3 weeks before your travel date. read more about how to apply for indian tourist visa.
What should I bring with myself?
Most of the general items you will need during your stay in India (or their equivalent) can be easily found in the nearby shops around the corner from our yoga school.
