1. Himalayan Yoga Cafe

We will begin with the obvious favourite, our own Himalayan Yoga Cafe right at the Himalayan Yoga Association ashram. This is not any ordinary cafe but rather a continuation of our school of yoga philosophy of living a holistic lifestyle.

The Himalayan Yoga Cafe is closely related to our yoga school and, thus, it is the most convenient solution when students are taking a 200-hour, 300-hour, or 500-hour yoga teacher training programme. Consider this, you are done with your morning practice of asana, have a healthy breakfast and you get yourself a comfortable corner with your laptop to get caught up with your work or internet project. No commute, no hassle.

2. Little Buddha Cafe

Little Buddha Cafe is located in the heart of Tapovan and has been a popular cafe among digital nomads over the years. The cafe also has spectacular views of the Ganga river and the hills surrounding, therefore making it a driving place to work.

The WiFi at this place is never weak, and the employees are accustomed to the people spending hours in their work. They will not hurry you to leave when you are done having your coffee. The menu is broad and it includes Israeli breakfast, Italian pasta and classic Indian thalis.

The charisma of Little Buddha is that of the community. It is easy to network and make friends because there are always other digital nomads and travellers around. The cushioned floor seats are ideal where one is comfortable with the relaxed sitting posture during working but they also have normal tables and chairs.

During meal times the cafe is usually busy, so a mid-morning or mid-afternoon would provide you with a quieter work time. Their fresh juice and lassi are also of great choice – a great way to keep hydrated after long hours of work.

3. Bistro Nirvana

Bistro Nirvana is another good place to be considered by digital nomads, only a short walk away from the Himalayan Yoga Association. The cafe boasts of its European coffee and bakery products and this is refreshing after spending some time in India and feeling like having something familiar.

The Wi-Fi is high quality and quick and they have a work friendly zone where there are comfortable chairs and sufficient light. The ambiance is relaxed and luxurious and this makes it a great place to video call or do work that requires focus.

Bistro Nirvana works early in the morning and this is just perfect in the event that you are required to make calls to customers who live in other time zones. Their breakfast menu is particularly worth tasting, and it offers such products as avocado toasts, fresh croissants, and premium coffee. They also sell smoothies and fresh-pressed juices throughout the day.

One of the distinguishing characteristics which they possess is a bookshelf containing a great variety of travel guides and spiritual books. One likes to escape and come off screen and read a book when in Devon.

4. AyurPak Cafe

AyurPak Cafe is a secretive haven to those who would like to combine their workdays with Ayurvedic well-being. It is near Laxman Jhula yet a bit far than our ashram hence the reason it is worth taking a walk or a fast ride by a rickshaw.
It is a cafe specializing in Ayurvedic food and beverages, i.e., everything in the menu will be prepared in a manner such a way that it would balance your doshas and would assist in keeping your health. The WiFi is nice and the cafe is very meditative and quiet like most digital nomads.

They also have Ayurvedic consultations and treatments, which means you can literally take work in the morning on your laptop and come to a therapeutic massage in the afternoon. The cafe is not as overcrowded as some of the more frequented places and this way, one can at least get a corner to himself.

Their teas with herbs are truly outstanding and they prepare them fresh to request. The employees are well versed with Ayurveda, and they can advise you on what to eat depending on your body type and the time of the year.

5. Pyramid Cafe

And finishing the list, we have Pyramid Cafe, the place where good food, fast WiFi, and positive energy can be found. As the name implies, the cafe is constructed in the shape of a pyramid, of which the owners think concentrates positive energy (turns out it works well in terms of concentration as well).

The WiFi is good and they have lots of seating spaces both in and out. The outdoor garden is especially beautiful to work in favourable weather. The cuisine is a combination of Indian, Continental and Asian dishes hence you will never be bored with the menu.

Another strong point of Pyramid Cafe is the one that covers workshops and events, such as sound healing and meditation classes. Wellness practices can then be integrated into your working day. You can have a break whenever you want to work with your laptop, and you need to pause and follow a short meditation session and get back to work with fresh energy.
