Sadhana Chatushtaya is a concept of jnana yoga and is known as the 4 pillars of knowledge. It is used as stepping stones to achieve self-realization or liberation. The pillars are Viveka (knowing the difference between self and no-self), vairagya (non-attachment), shatsampat( attain a balance between mental and emotional in order to see things as they truly are), and mumukshutva (desire to achieve freedom from suffering). These practices help one become aware and alleviate the difficulties of life.
